Thank you for your request
for a Special Event Call Sign for the 80th Anniversary of HMCS
HAIDA. I am pleased to
inform you that authority has been granted to use the special call sign
VB3HAIDA80 from July 8th,
2023, to September 5th, 2023, for this event.
The event will officially take place on HMCS Haida celebrating
the 80th anniversary of the ship.
The ship will be open Wednesday though Sunday 9am to
5pm.
80th Anniversary is the 25th to the 27th August
2023.
All Hamilton ARC/Burlington ARC club members
will receive free admission
to the ship's radio room to operate the special
events HF station.
All other clubs are welcome to join the event.
Operating on 40 Meters and 20 Meters using trap dipole;
40 meters.....7.180 MHz
20 meters....to be determined.
